The Power of Trusting the Right Person

There was once a young deer named Neel who lived in a vast forest.

Neel was curious, energetic, and always eager to explore new paths. Every day, he would wander deeper into unknown areas, chasing excitement and following whatever caught his attention.

But the forest was not always safe.

Hidden pits, wild predators, and confusing paths existed everywhere.

Neel’s mother, who had lived in that forest for many years, would often guide him.

She would gently say,
"Stay close to this path."
"Avoid that area after sunset."
"Not everything that looks exciting is safe."

But Neel rarely listened.

His mind would say,
"I want to explore."
"Nothing will happen to me."
"I know what I’m doing."

One day, driven by curiosity, Neel ignored his mother’s warning and wandered far into a dense part of the forest.

At first, everything felt exciting.

But slowly, he lost his way.

The trees looked the same. The path disappeared. Fear began to rise.

For the first time, Neel realized something important.

His excitement had no direction.

And his mind, which once felt so confident, now had no answers.

After hours of wandering, tired and scared, he finally found his way back home.

That evening, as he rested beside his mother, something inside him changed.

He understood that her words were not restrictions.

They were guidance born from experience.

Dear Readers,

Have you ever felt this in your own life?

A part of you knows what you want to do…
But your actions go in a completely different direction.

You feel distracted.

Confused.

Pulled in multiple directions.

Very few people walk with clarity.

Most of us keep thinking, planning, and doubting — but rarely moving in the right direction.

And even when someone experienced guides us, we often don’t listen.

Why Don’t We Listen?

It is not always because our mind is right.

Sometimes, it is because we are not ready to trust.

Our mind wants to do what it feels like.

It seeks comfort, excitement, and ego satisfaction.

But the truth is — our mind alone cannot always differentiate between what feels good now and what is truly right for us.

The Value of Trusting Experience

There are people in our lives who have already walked the paths we are stepping into.

They have faced situations we are just beginning to experience.

Their guidance is not based on assumption.

It is based on real life experience.

When we trust them, we borrow their wisdom.

And that wisdom helps us make better decisions in the present.

Sometimes, trusting an experienced person can save us from unnecessary pain and confusion.

Choosing the Right Guide

This does not mean we should blindly follow everyone.

But it is important to find at least one person in life:

  • Whom you can trust deeply
  • Who genuinely cares for your growth
  • Who has more experience than you
  • Who will guide you honestly, not just please you

And once you find such a person, learn to listen.

Learn to trust their guidance.

A Simple Truth We Often Forget

When babies are young, they trust their parents completely.

They don’t question every step.

They feel safe in that trust.

But as we grow, that trust slowly fades.

We start relying only on our own mind.

And sometimes, that mind leads us into confusion.

Maybe growth is not about losing trust.

Maybe it is about learning where to place our trust wisely.

A Gentle Reflection

So take a moment and ask yourself:

Is my mind guiding me… or confusing me?
Do I have someone in my life whose wisdom I truly trust?

Because life becomes much clearer when we don’t walk alone in our thoughts.

Sometimes, the right guidance can save us from getting lost.

And sometimes, trusting the right person can quietly shape our entire life.
